Munch is a food rescue marketplace founded in 2019 in Budapest, Hungary.
Users browse nearby partner venues in the mobile app and buy "surprise"
packages of unsold but perfectly good food at 40–70% off the regular
price. Each pickup keeps food out of the bin and lowers the cost of a
meal. Partners include independent restaurants, bakeries, pastry shops,
supermarkets, hotels, and chain stores (Lidl, SPAR, Penny, Auchan,
Coop, Aldi, Tesco).
